The RemObjects Wiki provides integration with the Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 IDEs to give developers using Data Abstract for .NET, RemObjects SDK for .NET, Internet Pack for .NET, RemObjects Script for .NET and Hydra easy access to context sensitive help from within the development environment.

This Offline Wiki integration setup registers a complete snapshot of the wiki at the time of creation of the installer, so documentation can be viewed without internet connection (for example when developing on a plane or out in the park). The offline wiki takes up more local space, and the documentation pages may not always reflect the latest wiki content.

The Offline Wiki installer is updated regularly, and you can download the latest version at the following URL:

How to Integrate with Visual Studio

You start installing the help by running the installer provided above, which will offer installation of the Wiki content both for Visual Studio (.NET products) and RAD Studio (Delphi Products), from the same installer.

For Visual Studio 2008, you are all set now, but for Visual Studio 2010, you will need to tweak the settings so it will use local (opposed to online MSDN) help. To do this, select Help|Manage Help Settings from the main menu:

In the dialog that opens, first click Choose online or local help...

... and on the second page, make sure that I want to use local help is selected.

With that, you are ready to use the RemObjects Software Offline Help integrated with the Visual Studio 2010 help system.
