Microsoft Silverlight is a framework for creating rich and visually attractive web applications, and applications for Windows Phone. It is based on a subset of the .NET Framework and XAML, and enables fast, cost-effective delivery of different internet applications such as animation, vector graphics, audio and video of high quality.
It is compatible with major browsers, including Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer used on Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X operating systems.
