Pascal is a programming language designed by Niklaus Wirth, named in honor of the mathematician Blaise Pascal.

Pascal is a bit more verbose than C derivative languages which makes it much more readable.

Originally designed as a language for teaching, currently it has several implementations and derivatives, like Object Pascal (of which Oxygene is an implementation).
