New Item Template Dialog (Data Abstract)

Using the Project/Add New Item menu in Visual Studio for .NET it's possible to add new items to a project. Starting with version 5 of Data Abstract for .NET, the New Items dialog has options to create:

  • .daSchema Files Schema files containing the table structures and other metadata
  • .daConfig Files Configuration for a Data Abstract project. A config file contains the clas name strings for all supported database, the way the SQL is formatted and queries to retrieve metadata.
  • .daConnection Files Connection configuration files, contains the actual connection strings for a project.
