Microsoft's Internet Information Services is a set of internet servers for Windows. It supports FTP, HTTP and HTTPS, SMTP and NNTP. Originally it was mostly used in combination with ASP, though several ISAPI filters are available, among other things, PHP, Perl, ASP.NET, Ruby.

IIS 7 can run as both 32 and 64bits process, or both at the same time, for older ISAPI dlls. It has extensive security, caching, logging and compression support.
