CodeGear is a wholly-owned part of Borland, making development tools for Windows and Linux. CodeGear was split off from Borland in 2006.

Products made by CodeGear include:

  • Delphi; an easy to use Windows 32 based development tool using the Object Pascal language
  • Delphi for PHP; Delphi like IDE for the PHP language
  • C++ Builder; Windows 32 based C++ IDE that can make use of Delphi code and controls
  • JBuilder; A Java IDE for Java Development, currently based on the Eclipse platform
  • Interbase; Database server for, among other platforms, Windows and Linux
