'Adrenochrome' was the original working name for RemObjects Software's Object Pascal Compiler for .NET. The official name 'Chrome' that was used for the first the releases (up until 'Joyride')) was derived from this before the project went public at the end of 2004.

Origin of the Name

'Adrenochrome' was codenamed after a song by the British rock-and-roll combo The Sisters of Mercy, just like its successor, 'Floorshow'.
